PARAM Rudra supercomputer commissioned at IIT Patna
IIT Patna and C-DAC signed an MoU in May 2023 for a PARAM supercomputer at the Bihta campus under the National Supercomputing Mission, then targeted for September 2023. A December 2025 Parliament answer lists the 838-teraflop system as commissioned in 2025, and its inauguration was reported on 27 December 2025. It is run as the Aryabhatta Supercomputing Centre, which published paid usage terms for outside researchers in February 2026. Reporting calls it Bihar's first supercomputer; it is a central facility, not a state project.
