Bihar Agricultural University starts AI-based weather bulletins for farmers
Bihar Agricultural University, Sabour, a state agricultural university in Bhagalpur, said in December 2025 that it had launched AI-based weather forecasting through video bulletins in its agro-advisory service. Forecasts of rainfall, temperature, cloud cover, humidity and wind are turned into advice on fertiliser, irrigation, pest control, harvest and storage. The university's community radio, FM Green, had been airing the AI-driven bulletins for two or three days. The university expects the service to reach over 92,000 cultivators and about 2 lakh farm workers. No later report of use or reach has been found.

- Reach. 'Over 92,000 cultivators and nearly 2 lakh agricultural workers' is what the university expects the service to assist, a target, not a count of users.
- What the AI does and whose model it is: in-house, from IMD or another agency, or a commercial tool. No source says.
- Forecast accuracy, and where the video bulletins are published beyond FM Green.
- Whether the bulletins continued after December 2025. No later report was found.
- The interview took place 'on Wednesday', 24 December 2025, and was published just after midnight on 25 December; the timeline gives the month.
