Agriculture Department launches 'AI-based' Bihar Krishi Radio app
In late September 2025 Deputy Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha launched Bihar Krishi Radio at Krishi Bhawan, Patna. The Agriculture Department described it as an AI-based farm broadcast service that analyses weather, soil and market data, answers farmers' questions and runs 24 hours a day in regional languages. The app itself, listed on Google Play with reviews from November 2024, offers a live radio stream, podcasts and text or voice feedback, and its privacy policy lists no AI feature. No figures on listeners or on any AI function in use have been published.

Good to know: The radio stream works and was already live in 2024. What the September 2025 launch added is the claim that the service is AI-based, and no source shows an AI function in use, so the AI system is recorded as announced only.
